About

It all started back in 1997? (98?) as a high school assignment, whereby we had to write a speech for a magazine launch. I decided to one-up the rest of the class by actually creating a zine, bringing in fake champagne and hors d’oeurves, and basically my ridiculous take on popular culture so confused my small-town teacher that I think I scored an A+. (Possibly purely for effort, but I’ll take it if I have to).
Somehow Thru Being Cool ended up in local record stores and rather mysteriously, on a travelling zine exhibition making its way around Australia. So my little A5 cut’n’paste effort saw more of the country than I ever have.
